OCALA NATIONAL FOREST - The U.S. Forest Service will conduct prescribed burning today in the Ocala National Forest, west of Forest Road 11, north and south of Forest Road 66, in Marion County. The 1,041 acre burn will improve wildlife habitat, eliminate vegetation build up and reduce the threat of wildfires, according to the Forest Service. Motorists are cautioned to drive slowly with lights on while traveling in smoky areas.
