Young naturalists converge on state parks

PORT ST. LUCIE — Equipped with hats, water bottles and a willingness to learn, 14 students in the Young Naturalist's Passport to State Parks camp walked through the brush of Carol's Trail — a section of the Florida Scrub in the Savannas Preserve State Park normally closed to the public — in search of adventure and Florida scrub jays.
