NASCAR reduces speeds, hopes to improve racing, at Michigan International Speedway

The race cars won't go as fast at Michigan International Speedway. The racing might be more competitive.NASCAR announced Tuesday a change in its rules package, including a taller spoiler, for the Pure Michigan 400 that will be Aug. 16 at MIS.The 3-inch increase in spoiler height and other modifications will slow the cars by nearly 10 mph, Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR chief racing development officer, said.
