A tornado was reported on the ground in the Lowry area and the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning until 5:30 p.m. The warning includes parts of Denver, Aurora, Arapahoe Park, Buckley Air Force Base and Cherry Creek Reservoir. Aurora Police tweeted that a tornado had been spotted between Illiff and Montview, and near Montview and Yosemite. The University of Colorado Hospital sent a Twitter alert, urging its employees to stay inside.
