Percy Brown’s motion for a new trial was denied and he was sentenced to 17 years, four months to life for second degree-murder. Brown, was a truck driver who allegedly was caught siphoning fuel from another truck and then killed the owner of that truck in an altercation. His defense filed a motion for a new trial alleging jury tampering.In February, Brown was found guilty in the hit-and-run death of Alex Bell, who caught Brown siphoning fuel from his big rig in 2012.
