The West Virginia parent of an aspiring veterinarian filed a lawsuit on May 12 alleging local, state and federal officials propagated a "religious faith" by teaching his daughter evolution. In the lawsuit, the man petitions the U.S. district court to declare the "policy of evolution" unconstitutional. The complaint, which was obtained by the National Center for Science Education, names the Jefferson County Board of Education, West Virginia State Superintendent Michael Martirano, National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins and U.S.
