During a recent interview at Comic-Con, actor Tyler James Williams (Walking Dead) may have spilled the beans that Jaden Smith has landed the lead role in upcoming live-action series Static Shock. Williams was commenting on the lack of young black superheroes in comic books when he was interrupted by two people in the crowd who shouted “Static Shock” and “Spider-Man,” reports Hollywood Life. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said with a knowing smile, before adding, “It’s great to see Static Shock is happening with Jaden.” It’s been rumored since October that the young After Earth star and Will Smith’s son would be starring in the Warner Bros.
