The 17th annual Kentucky Derby Party benefiting Regional Rehabilitation Center brings south a piece of the action of the Run for the Roses. “If you can’t make it to Kentucky, come to Robins Street,” said Tom Evans, who has helped host the party every year. The event brings together the most exciting two minutes in sports, hats, great food, mint juleps and music for an fun afternoon and evening. The Derby party is a few steps up from a backyard barbecue; think sun dresses and polo shirts instead of tank tops and cutoffs. Tickets are $40 a person and include food, the first mint julep, Derby Dollars play money to wager on the race and then use in a rollicking live auction.
