Driver suffers minor injuries, animals fine after crash in Clendenin

Staff reports CLENDENIN -- No animals were injured when a truck they were being transported in wrecked Wednesday morning, police say. A volunteer with a Clay County animal rescue group wrecked near 12000 Elk River Road North in Clendenin while carrying 37 caged animals in the back of a box truck, according to a release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.The driver, Linda McKinney, of Maysel, suffered minor injuries.
