NEW YORK — A judge Monday refused to throw out President-elect Donald Trump’s hush money conviction because of the U. S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling on presidential immunity. But the overall future of the historic case remains unclear. Manhattan Judge Juan M. Merchan’s decision blocks one potential off-ramp from the case ahead of the former and future president’s return to office next month.

NEW YORK — An attorney defending Jay-Z against the rape allegation brought against him last week by an unnamed woman outlined a range of evidence Monday that he said showed the accuser’s account to be “provably, demonstrably false.” The woman told NBC News last week that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs sexually assaulted her in 2000, when she was 13, at an after-party for the MTV Music Awards.

Fruition, the farm-to-table restaurant started by Chef Alex Seidel on his way to an eventual James Beard Award, is closing its doors after 18 years in Denver. Related: Denver’s most heartbreaking restaurant closures of 2024 Seidel made the announcement in a press release Monday. He didn’t give a reason for closing, only that it was his decision.

One of the top players on the Colorado defense has elected to enter the transfer portal, while one of the top defenders in the portal is on his way to Boulder. Pat Surtain II provided optimism a day after leaving the Broncos’ 31-13 win over the Colts with an ankle injury. “It’s better.
