Associated PressColorado Springs police and firefighters had to rescue two people sought on felony warrants after the suspects turned on fire sprinklers in a hotel room in an attempt to escape. Police said Saturday the pair barricaded themselves in a third-floor room at the Hotel Elegante when police tried to arrest them, and water soon began pouring from the ceiling. A man came out of the room complaining he was cold, and firefighters had to turn off the sprinkler system to get a woman out of the room. Police say the water was so deep a toilet had to be removed to allow water to drain from the hotel room. Both were charged with tampering with fire suppression equipment and endangering hotel guests.
