Family of Vietnam veteran killed in Savannah asks hit-and-run driver to come forward

The oldest daughter of a Vietnam War veteran killed by a hit-and-run driver early this month on Savannah’s southside visited the city today to ask the responsible person to come forward. Deb Meyer Cohen, speaking to media at the VFW Post 660 on Ogeechee Road, said her father Peter J. Meyer was a man who always did the right thing. “He was a very good, noble man,” Cohen said of her 72-year-old father who was found dead about 10:30 p.m.
