APS may seek delay of new test use

The Albuquerque school board will decide next week if it wants to follow in the footsteps of school districts that have called on the state to delay adoption of a new standardized test, or to delay the use of scores from that test in future teacher evaluations and school grades. During a committee meeting Tuesday night, board members said they planned to consider adoption of resolutions like those passed by Santa Fe Public Schools and Rio Rancho Public Schools during the next APS board meeting, on Nov.
