PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (AP) — Portsmouth is looking to make a deal with a wind power company to install a wind turbine to replace one that has stood idle at Portsmouth High School. The Newport Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/IX5CGL ) that the Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to accept a proposal from Wind Energy Development LLC, in which the North Kingstown firm agreed to replace the turbine towering over the high school and replace it with a new 1.5-megawatt turbine.
