Movie review: ‘Judge’ throws the book, and everything else, at audience

Overlong and overloaded, the film still serves as a showcase for Downey, Duvall and D’Onofrio. “The Judge” features, from left, Vincent D’onofrio, Jeremy Strong, Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. David Dobkin directs. Downey plays a hotshot Chicago defense attorney at odds with his small-town Indiana judge father, played by Duvall.
