Sacramento author mines the history of Gold-Rush stagecoaches in new book

Author Cheryl Anne Stapp can’t get gold off her mind. Stagecoaches traveled down Yankee Jim’s Road in the 1850s. It is still in use today for cars to travel between Foresthill, Yankee Jim’s and Colfax. . This Wells Fargo & Co. Concord coach was used in the 1860s. It merits mention in “The Stagecoach in Northern California: Rough Rides, Gold Camps & Daring Drivers” by Cheryl Anne Stapp.
