Comment on Latino leaders criticize demolition at Guadalupe Plaza Park

Nearly 20 residents and community leaders gathered outside Guadalupe Plaza Park, nestled on the corner of Navigation Road and Jensen Drive, expressing their discontent over the city park's renewal plan. Yolanda Black Navarro with the Navigation Area Business Association said the East End Management District, which is overseeing the renovations, misled the community in its plans for the park and did not retain the cultural qualities of the neighborhood, which is largely Hispanic.
