SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — It's been 16 years since gasoline taxes were raised in Utah and some state and local officials say it's time to raise that rate to keep up with rising costs. Utah lawmakers on Wednesday will hear two proposals from local officials and a fellow legislator to raise the tax, which helps to pay to repair and build new roads.
