New playground equipment to be installed at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Peoria is to have a fire-department theme.Perhaps the gear could douse what appears to be a smouldering dispute between some City Council members and the Peoria Park District.The council members are displeased the Park District didn't contribute $600,000 to cover two-thirds of the cost of a proposed addition to the John Gwynn Family Aquatic Center.
