Woodford Reserve and Esquire magazine are on a quest to find the nation’s best Manhattan cocktail and Sapphire Grill bartender Matt Garappolo hopes to shake up the competition with his take on the classic cocktail. More than a dozen Savannah bartenders created their version of the Manhattan last month at Garibaldi’s during a bartender exhibition, and a panel of judges selected Garappolo’s cocktail, Spanish Harlem, as the winner.
