Sunshine State to see up to 4.5% jump in holiday sales in 2013

Florida’s holiday season is expected to be jolly this year, as consumers are forecast to spend 3.5-4.5 percent more in sales, according to a new report by the Florida Retail Federation. The holiday shopping season is a critical one for the Sunshine State, as consumer spending accounts for about 75 percent of state’s gross domestic product, the report said.
