Police said a person died after a hit-and-run early Sunday and they are trying to locate the car and driver involved. About 12:10 a.m., officers were sent to Southwest 45th Avenue and Canyon Drive on a report that a vehicle had struck someone and fled the scene. The person, who had been walking south across Southwest 45th Avenue, was struck by a car and died at the scene due to injuries received in the collision, police said. read more
