Broken Arrow rallies to defeat Westmoore

BY JACOB UNRUHMOORE — Broken Arrow spent extra time planning for Westmoore's offense during the week, and for good reason. The fourth-ranked Tigers used three turnovers and a goal-line stand Friday to rally against the fifth-ranked Jaguars for a 20-10 victory at Moore Stadium that clinched second place in District 6A-2. “All week the goal was just to be physical with them for four quarters and stay with them all night,” said Broken Arrow junior Isaac Armstead, who came up with the crucial interception with five minutes remaining that set up the game-sealing touchdown. Broken Arrow will play host to Tulsa Washington next week, while Westmoore falls to third in the district and will travel to Sand Springs. The Tigers (8-2, 6-1) struggled offensively against the pressure from Westmoore, failing to really gain any momentum until they faced a 10-0 deficit in the second quarter. From there, though, it was all Broken Arrow. “Our defense wasn't fazed,” Armstead said.Read more on NewsOK.com
