The pilot of the crashed aircraft Sunday near Prineville airport was identified by Prineville Police Department as Murray Allan Crowe, 47, of Crooked River Ranch.Crowe was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing an experimental Challenger II aircraft at around 11:30 a. m., according to police Sunday. He was the only occupant of the aircraft.
