Some in Bend took advantage of Labor Day to put the focus on labor issues. Bend volunteers including Steve Williamsen and Bob Bradetich grilled hamburger patties and hot dogs at the Solidarity Day Picnic at Bend's Pioneer Park on Monday afternoon. The picnic, on the day devoted to the nation's labor movement, was sponsored by the Central Oregon Labor Council.
