Bond set at $25,000 in vehicular homicide case

A judge set a $25,000 bond Thursday for a Hephzibah man accused of vehicular homicide in the death of a bicyclist in May. Christopher Provost, 36, is accused of hitting Dennis Skillman, 42, on Mike Padgett Highway about dawn May 15 and fleeing. Skillman, also of Hephzibah, was wearing a reflective vest and riding his bike in the correct position on the highway when he was hit from behind, Assistant District Attorney Melissa Marks said. read more
