Comment on Scalia: Court shouldn't 'invent new minorities'

OK, I realize that it’s kind of pathetic to wax poetic over a kitchen utensil and mourn its “passing.” But I’m gonna do it anyway.

The future of one of the hotel shelters that form the backbone of Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s All In Mile High homelessness initiative is at risk on Monday as city officials pivot to win approval for a lease extension. City Council members will consider a shorter-term lease extension than originally proposed for the former Comfort Inn property at 4685 Quebec St.

Everyone knows by now that Colorado’s youth are at risk of overdose and death due to the opioid addiction crisis and the prevalence of fentanyl in the illicit drug market. But The Denver Post’s Sam Tabachnik reported this month that the opioid crisis has spilled into Colorado’s juvenile detention and commitment facilities.
