Harris County prosecutors have dropped murder charges against David Watkins in the 2003 house fire that killed his young daughter and a teenage family friend, but his attorney contends that the music teacher still is not a free man. According to criminal defense lawyer David Singer, Watkins remains dogged by the accusation that he set his own home ablaze to collect insurance money and the murder charges in his criminal history still haunt him on the job hunt.
