Five Questions with Maggie Weaver

What drew you to working for TransIT? I had worked for Frederick County for six years, at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, collaborating with TransIT team members in various capacities Though I don’t have a background in transportation demand management (TDM) or public transportation in general, I applied because I was excited about the opportunity to use my writing, public speaking, networking and public relations skills again in my home county after a year of commuting “down the road” into the Bethesda area Little did I know that I would find the TDM arena to be so fascinating There are so many facets of the public transportation system Regional programs and systems work together to help citizens get to work, school, commerce centers and home, and we have so many opportunities in Frederick County to provide residents with tools to make their commutes less stressful and their work productivity so much greater I am learning new information and skills every day, and learning keeps you young, right?
