Eugene council ponders two new flat fees for city residents to close budget hole

Facing a $6 million general fund budget hole for the fiscal year that begins next summer, the Eugene City Council tonight expressed a willingness to explore two new flat fees for city residents. One proposal is a new “city service” fee of up to $10 a month charged to residents.
