Bethune-Cookman gives 21 scholarships to Duval County high schoolers

Twenty-one Duval County high school students have received scholarships to attend Daytona Beach's Bethune-Cookman University. The students are currently studying at Paxon School for Advanced Studies, William M. Raines, Sandalwood and Terry Parker high schools. According to a news release from Duval County Public Schools, BCU admission officials drove to Jacksonville to hand the students their acceptance letters and scholarships. The scholarships range from $12,500, $56,000, or the top level, full-ride $97,000 scholarship.
