Finally, Replaced Digg with Reddit

Reddit

I finally had to do it. I stuck with Digg for as long as I could. It’s the first social news site. Even after the infamous version 4, I stuck with them.

A decent number of Digg's hardcore users had already jumped ship since v4. I was too lazy to do the switch - mainly because the headlines I saw on their homepage didn't quite fit those on Wopular's. Digg was still providing me with relevant and interesting news.

When their dead caucus was eventually picked apart by LinkedIn, The Washington Post, and Betaworks, I still stuck with them. Then I noticed the feeds stopped updating.

I knew that Betaworks was re-launching Digg. I guess they didn’t want to bother with RSS feeds with the initial launch. I’m not sure if it’s even in their future plans because they didn’t address it in their blog.

Because of that, I have no choice but to disable their feeds across various sections of Wopular and replace them with Reddit’s.

I finally found a section on Reddit that works with Wopular's homepage from a commenter on Digg's blog. Apparently, Reddit has a "News" section. It's not listed on the menu on their homepage, but the headlines from that section are relevant.
