Sudan lifts retributions after gov’t minister says Kenya will not arrest Sudanese president

NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenya’s foreign minister says Sudan has lifted punitive measures against Kenya that Sudan issued after a judge ruled that Sudan President Omar al-Bashir must be arrested if he visits Kenya again. Kenyan Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula said Friday he met with al-Bashir and explained the judgment was in error and said the Kenyan government is appealing it. Read full article >>
