JOHANNESBURG — The United Nations says Sudan’s north and south have agreed to withdraw all “unauthorized forces” from the border hotspot where analysts and diplomats fear a new conflict could ignite. The U.N. said Sunday in a statement that representatives agreed to deploy a joint north-south force in Abyei and withdraw forces stoking tensions in the area as Southern Sudan prepares for its independence in July.
