Jim Clyburn says he is hopeful a new avenue to find funding to complete a study of deepening Charleston's port will be completed in a few weeks.Clyburn's office said in a news release Saturday that the congressman has spoken with the Obama administration about getting federal matching funds to complete a technical step in the years-long process of deepening Charleston Harbor to 50 feet so it can handle the next generation of cargo ships.
