Stanford scientists build Parkinson's disease in a dish with cells from Google founder's mom

Turning skin cells into brain cells, Stanford University research could accelerate the search for a cure for a disease that affects more than one million Americans. The project was made possible through a donation of skin cells by Genia Brin, mother of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, a major supporter of research.
