Colorado Springs Police Seek Person Who Tried To Start Fire At Bank

A person who attempted to start a fire at a Wells Fargo Bank earlier this month is being sought by Colorado Springs police. On Sept. 8, Colorado Springs firefighters and police officers responded to the report of a gas smell at the bank at 5495 N. Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs police said Tuesday in a news release. Authorities found a glass jar filled what was believed to be gasoline in the overnight drop box on the side of the building, police said. Surveillance footage showed a person, who arrived at the bank on a bicycle, received burns from lighting the jar on fire and placing it inside the drop box, police said.
