Both new business filings and the number of businesses and non-profits in good standing in Colorado continued to increase in the third quarter, according to the Colorado Secretary of State Quarterly Business & Economic Indicators. The continued growth in business filings points to continued employment gains into 2017, noted Brian Lewandowski, associate director of the Business Research Division at the University Colorado of Boulder Leeds School of Business, which prepared the report. Existing entity renewals were at 119,385, up from 4.1 percent a year ago and flat with the second quarter.
