Hours before Clinton Township officials were scheduled to discuss his possible firing, planning director Carlo Santia submitted his retirement paperwork Monday, five days after he publicly admitted to funneling bribes in the ongoing public corruption scandal.Santia had been suspended from his $99,100-a-year position as head of the planning and community development department since Wednesday when he took the stand in the bribery trial of former township Trustee Dean Reynolds in U.
