Click's Four-goal Match Powers D-b Over Crockett

JONESBOROUGH — There were two forms of mercy granted by the TSSAA’s rule Tuesday. First, Dobyns-Bennett’s soccer match against David Crockett was mercifully ended when the Indians scored their ninth goal early in the second half. Second, the game was mercifully shortened to a little over an hour on a brutally cold March evening. Eli Click scored four of the Indians’ goals in the 9-0, Big 7 Conference season-opening win at the Pioneers’ field. “He found a rhythm once he got going for sure,” said D-B coach Blake Rutherford.
