Ole Miss powers past Alabama in Game 1

OXFORD – The struggling Ole Miss offense sprang to life as the Rebels took a 7-2 win in Game 1 of their SEC series against Alabama before 8,456 fans at Swayze Field Friday night.

 

Rosters set for MSU spring football game

Teams for the Mississippi State Maroon-White spring game have been set.
The Bulldogs split their roster in half for the 3 p.m. kickoff Saturday on SEC Network. Rising junior Nick Fitzgerald will quarterback the Maroon team while true freshman counterpart Keytaon Thompson will lead the White squad.
The coaching staff was also split with Brian Baker, Ron English, John Hevesy and Greg Knox coaching the Maroons while Terrell Buckley, Brett Elliott, Billy Gonzales, Todd Grantham and D.J. Looney manage the Whites.

 

VIDEO: Tupelo High School hosts Special Olympics

Tupelo High School hosted the Area 11 Special Olympics on Friday. Athletes from throughout Northeast Mississippi vied for a spot in the state event and enjoyed the thrill of competition.
