Killer gets life in prison for 84-year-old’s horrific 2012 slaying

STOCKTON — A man found guilty of the 2012 rape and murder of an 84-year-old Stockton woman was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Monday.Alvin Larry Davis, 78, was also sentenced to an additional 25 years to life for the murder of Hazel Dingman, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.Davis was arrested in 2016 in Las Vegas and found guilty in November 2018 of one count of murder with the special circumstance [...]
