A regional planning agency has suggested adding 23 miles of bike lanes in Quincy, a city that before last year had no bike lanes whatsoever.

The heart attack that took the life of the 39-year-old father came exactly two months and a day after his wife, Kristen, who had been battling an aggressive brain tumor, died at their Canton home. Their children – Kayley, 6, and Patrick, 3 – were suddenly parentless.

A Plymouth County grand jury handed up the indictment Tuesday against Paul J. Kodzis, 26, of 54 Primrose Lane, who is charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, home invasion with a firearm, improper storage of a large-capacity firearm and witness intimidation.

 

Group to suggest Wollaston, Nantasket beach improvements

The Metropolitan Beaches Commission will unveil its recommendations for the 14 state-owned beaches, including Wollaston in Quincy and Nantasket in Hull, at a public meeting  Saturday, Feb. 1, at the UMass-Boston Campus Center.

Dorchester legislator Carlos Henriquez sent to jail for assaulting woman

Following his conviction on two assault and battery charges, Rep. Carlos Henriquez of Dorchester was immediately sentenced by Cambridge District Court Judge Michele Hogan to 2 1/2 years in jail, with six months to be served.
