House fire on Hawkins Lane results in $250,000 damage

The cause of a fire that resulted in $250,000 in damage to a residence at 1999 Hawkins Lane just before 1 a.m. today remains under investigation, District Fire Chief Scott Bishop said this afternoon. Nineteen firefighters and nine vehicles responded to the blaze, Bishop said.
