Two 18-wheelers crashed on U.S. 96 north of Evadale early this morning, according to DPS Sgt. Stephanie Davis.

City of PA sues 4 for misuse of credit cards

The City of Port Arthur has sued four people, including two city employees, for the misuse of city-issued credit cards in a gas theft scheme that led to their 2016 arrests.
The city alleges in the civil suit, filed in Jefferson County, that Steven Robert Guidry Jr. and Randle Davis Jr. committed fraud and breached fiduciary duty. Guidry, Davis, Rabindra Nauth, David Fitzgerald Frank and his company, Frank's Trucking, are accused of conversion and conspiracy.

Driver crashes into Cocomo Joe's

A driver experiencing a medical issue jumped the curb on westbound Calder Avenue, knocking down a lamp post, tree and sprinkler system before crossing over 4th Street and crashing into the side wall of Cocomo Joe's Thursday. The driver, a male in his 50's, was taken to the hospital with injuries. No pedestrians or other vehicles were involved in the incident.
