Apathy was the big winner of last week's Democratic primary in Albany. In a city with 35,441 registered Democrats, just 12,261 voted in the spirited three-way race for mayor. Incumbent Kathy Sheehan won easily, but still garnered just 6,159 votes, according to the unofficial vote tally. I don't want to take anything away from the mayor's win, but that total shouldn't be cause for celebration.
