CHURCH HILL — Speed tables were installed in Church Hill’s Deerfield Subdivision about five years ago to slow down traffic, but now some residents there want the speed tables removed.Church Hill Mayor Dennis Deal told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Tuesday that he received a petition signed by 46 Deerfield Subdivision residents seeking the removal of speed tables on Westfield Drive.During Tuesday’s BMA meeting Deal read allowed the petition which states, “The speed tables are a nuisance and have an adverse affect on the residents of this area who must travel this road to access their homes and property.
