WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump’s personnel choices for his new Cabinet and White House reflect his signature positions on immigration and trade but also a range of viewpoints and backgrounds that raise questions about what ideological anchors might guide his Oval Office encore.

A friend in witness protection confides that no one ever offered her pot. Like it’s a life failing.
“Nobody in high school, nobody in college,’’ she says. “I’m not disappointed, but I am well and truly a dork.”
I’m not sure what to say to my friend in witness protection. I’ve never thought of not being offered pot as a character flaw or sign of dorkiness. Quite the contrary. (My 91- and 92-year old parents, who likely are reading this, would agree.)
