Cary residents can get an idea of what their new village hall and police station will look like at an open house next week. People can view preliminary floor plans and building designs, and receive project updates from architects and village staff on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the current village hall on 655 Village Hall Drive. Mayor Mark Kownick said at the Cary Business Roundtable said the new building, which will be on the intersection of Georgetown Drive and Industrial Drive, is going to be almost 21,000 square feet. Village officials have said that the current building is inefficent. For instance, Kownick said, sometimes, when he goes to village hall, he'll see someone standing there, looking lost, because they want to get to the police department.
