Capitol riot, including people convicted of seditious conspiracy and assaulting police officers, using his clemency powers on his first day back in office to undo the massive prosecution of the unprecedented assault on the seat of American democracy.

Trump’s action, just hours after his return to the White House, paves the way for the release from prison of dozens of people found guilty of violent attacks on police, as well as leaders of far-right extremist groups convicted of plotting to stop the peaceful transfer of power after Trump lost the 2020 election to former President Joe Biden.

The pardons are a culmination of Trump’s yearslong campaign to rewrite the history of the Jan.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Regional Transportation District train in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood on Monday, police officials said.
Denver police received a call about the crash near Smith Road and Quebec Street at 3:28 p.m. and investigators are still determining what happened, according to the agency. The unidentified person who died was an adult man.
The northbound ramp from Quebec Street to Smith Road is closed for the crash investigation.
There were 54 passengers on the A Line train at the time and none reported injuries, RTD spokesperson Marta Sipeki said.
